Balcony Living Space

This ocher stucco house in Roussillon -- which is the town built on ocher, has some interesting Provencal window bar as well as a magnificent outdoor living space covered with a roof.  The views are splendid from this town, and from the balcony.

Tiny Balcony

This is charming.  Even though the balcony is barely wide enough to fit a man with very large feet and shoes, it was put in so that one could step outside in a corner of the building that is dark and windowless.  That is what I love about Provence.  Note the wavy wrought iron balcony railing.  That wavy pattern is also a feature of Provence design.
The fancy while filigree on the shuttered blue windows caught my eye. The robin egg blue contrasts with the yellow ocher and you see a small evergreen tree peeking out near the window to the right.

Past Glory

This balcony over an archway into a courtyard has seen better days.

En Plein Air On a Balcony

Perched high on a balcony, shared with wicker baskets and pots, a couple shares lunch en plein air, enjoying a glorious view of the valley below.

Cat on a Stone Balcony

A ginger cat does its morning ablutions on a balcony of a village house as it watches the world go by.
