Charming Shuttered Window with Window Boxes

This ocher stucco house has charming shutters and window boxes.  Even if you live in a house on street with no visible dirt, you still have flowers.

Spray of Purple Flowers

I was walking the streets of Roussillon, the ocher town, and I spotted this spray of purple flowers.  They were growing against a stone building mortared with ocher.  The juxtaposition of the flowers and the ocher was stunning.

Lupine Flower

These lupine flowers were found growing wild in a field.  I suppose that their seeds had traveled by the wind and found themselves growing here, because they are a beautiful garden flower.  But this just shows you of the ubiquity of flowers everywhere in Provence.
