Chocolat Thermometer on a House Wall

A thermometer advertising chocolat hangs on the wall of a village house in the town of Apt in the Luberon valley of Provence.

Remnants of World War II

In an earlier post on Victory Day, I mentioned that France suffered greatly during World War II. Here a street is named after a victim of the Nazi while France was occupied by the Germans.

Irony

It is ironic that the name of this town is translated as "Lights". Underneath the sign is the green neon light in the background, identifying a pharmacy.

Village Directory

The wrought iron village directory has a little iron village silhouette in iron atop it.

Post Office Street

I love the funky road signs of Provence. This village street, is Post Office Street. The sign is done in ocher.
