The Restaurant Wine Rack

I love it when you walk into a restaurant and their stock of table wines is on display.  This is a very active wine-consuming restaurant and these bottles need replenishment often.

The Wine Store

Provence is known for its rosé wines.  Other wines are grown there, but the climate is best for rosé wines.  Some really good table wines are inexpensive in Provence, and for the sunny warm clime, the pink rosé wines go perfectly with any meal.

The good rosé wine.

The Provencal rosé wines are beyond compare.  One of the nicest is Mas de la Dame from Les Baux-de-Provence.  It is nice when you can see the vineyard, visit the domain and drink the product.  This wine was made for the sunny south of France.

Vinicole

This is the front of the wine cooperative or vinicole in the town of Apt in Provence.

Poppies and Old Vines

Poppies grow wild in the margins of an old vine vineyard. The grape branches are cut back every year since grapes only grow on new wood. So the bottoms of the vines grow thicker and thicker with age.
