Agricultural Implement in a Cherry Orchard

A bucolic scene.  An agricultural implement of some sort lies discarded at the edge of a cherry orchard.  Irises grow wild by the edge.

The Essence of Provence

The essence of Provence is orchards, vines, wines and a beautiful countryside with historic architecture.  This picture says it all.

Impressionistic Orchard Lane

I used the impressionist filter to render the picture of the rustic orchard lane into a painting. The orchard lane reminded me of my grandfather's farm, and a sunny day on a farm lane is as pastoral as one can get.

Almonds and Irises

Almonds ripen in the Provencale sun while irises grow along the line of almond trees.

Farm Implement

A farm implement sits in the cherry orchard while wild iris grow beside it.
A mas (or Provence farm manor) stands majestically amid vines and orchards in the Luberon valley.

Irises and Orchards

Irises grow wild in a cherry orchard. The scene is remniscent of a Van Gogh painting called "Irises" which was painted in Arles.

Vineyards and Orchards

Vineyards and orchards line the Provencal hills in neat rows, tracing the contours of the land as far as the eye can see.

Over the cherry trees

There is nother sweeter than being surrounded by a cherry orchard while looking over the patchwork quilt of farms in the valley. The birdsong is wonderful as well, because it is not only the humans that like the cherries. If you click on the pic to enlarge it, you can see the ripe cherries on the trees.

I stand in orchard where the farmer cannot see me, and I gorge myself on the delectable fruits.
